The Millard Orchard Park and Galloway Neighbourhood Park will be constructed and completed in 2011. The City of Coquitlam is funding the design, construction and equipment costs and Wesbild is providing project management and construction expertise in kind. “These new parks demonstrate an exceptional effort by Council and Wesbild to respond to the needs of residents in this growing area of Coquitlam,” said Mayor Richard Stewart. “The amenities, design and location of these new facilities will only enhance the lifestyle our residents have come to expect. The parks will provide generations of residents with the opportunity to enjoy many outdoor activities in a clean, safe environment.”

The Millard Orchard Park will feature play equipment, sports court, picnic tables, orchard area and lawn areas. The larger Galloway Community Park will include play equipment, sports court, spray park, rain garden, tai chi circle and many grassy areas for active and passive recreation.

“Parks are a key gathering place for any community”, says Ted Ayerst, Senior Vice-President of Wesbild, “This is how neighbours get to know each other and they become the heart of the community. We are so pleased to be able to help expedite the park program on Burke Mountain.”

John Rich Wins Celebrity Apprentice

John Rich wins $250,000 for St. Jude in the exciting conclusion of The Celebrity Apprentice.
The final two contestants battled to the very end. In the final boardroom there was a genuine look of regret from Mr. Trump knowing he would have to let one of them go. Both Marlee and John were the obvious standouts throughout the season.

John played his new song “For The Kids” live with Marlee translating in sign language, along with help from the students of the New York School of the Deaf. The touching performance further solidified John and Marlee’s commitment to their charities.

The action doesn’t stop here for John. The upcoming Big & Rich tour and two releases, For The Kids and Rich Rocks! will keep him just as busy.

Reservoir has Big & Rich’s biggest hits in their catalog including, “Save A Horse (Ride A Cowboy)”, “Coming To Your City”, and “Holy Water”. Also, “Simplify” and “She’s A Butterfly”, both from the Reservoir catalog, are included in the For The Kids release.

Reservoir congratulates John Rich on being named 2011’s Celebrity Apprentice, but more importantly for raising over $1.3 million for the St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. You too can help support St. Jude by downloading “For The Kids” here.
