Joyful Noise, starring Queen Latifah and Dolly Parton, opens in theatres nationwide today. Latifah and Parton play two church choir members who share opposing views on how to take their little town choir to the top of a national gospel choir competition. They eventually agree to put a more modern twist to the songs they perform in the choir, in the hopes that it would help them shine in the national competition. They perform a “gospel” rendition of Reservoir’s “Yeah!”, originally performed by Usher, to help them make it to the top.
