The video features models lounging around and sipping champagne while playing cards burn forebodingly in the background. Despite the dark undertones of frustration and heartbreak in the song and video, "a buoyant beat and B.o.B verse help keep Towers upbeat" (Fuse blog).

Luke James, the R&B singer with new-school style and old-school soul, performed his single "I Want You" on TV One’s variety show, Verses & Flow, last week. Written by Reservoir songwriter Danja, "I Want You" is a monster of a track in itself, with soulful choral arrangements, an infectious topline melody, and, when performed live, peppy horn instrumentation. Compounded by Luke James’ undeniably powerful pipes, the song is a true show-stopper. Luke is signed to New Age Rock Stars, or N.A.R.S., the record label established by Danja and legendary sound engineer Marcella "Ms. Lago" Araica.
In addition to a #1 album, a #1 single, and an upcoming headlining tour, Reservoir songwriter 2 Chainz can add two MTV Video Music Awards nods to his accomplishments this summer.
2 Chainz earned two nominations in the Best Hip-Hop Video category for “Mercy” with Kanye West, Big Sean, and Pusha T and “Beez In The Trap” with Nicki Minaj. Reservoir Executive Vice President Rell Lafargue spoke to Billboard this week to discuss Blackground’s collaboration with rapper Drake in releasing new music from the late R&B singer Aaliyah. Reservoir and Blackground have been working together since entering into an agreement this past July that sees Reservoir exclusively representing the masters in Blackground’s catalog and administering the company’s music publishing component, Black Fountain Music.
A video broke this morning in which Drake confirmedthat he is working on a project to feature Aaliyah’s vocals, and Billboard.biz followed up with their exclusive official story this afternoon, including quotes from Rell and Blackground executive Jomo Hankerson.
