On June 21, Wesbild was proud to attend the CABE Secondary convocation ceremony to present the Wesbild LIFT scholarship to twenty graduates – the largest recipient group since the scholarship was introduced in 2012.

Congratulations to the following recipients:

  • Caitlin Cramer towards the Head Start in Arts program at Emily Carr University of Art & Design
  • Courtney Abbott-Brown towards a General Studies diploma at Douglas College
  • Larissa Christensen towards a General Studies diploma at Douglas College
  • Nima Azizi towards Criminology at Douglas College
  • Olivia Greenland towards the Farrier Program at Kwantlen Polytechnic University
  • Priscila Castro Orellana towards the Youth Justice Program at Douglas College
  • Raphael Groushvitski towards a Bachelor’s Degree in Music at the University of British Columbia
  • Brandon Wareham towards General Studies at Douglas College

We also presented scholarships to two students who graduated in December, and who are already attending post-secondary:

  • Emily Andrews towards Nursing at Douglas College
  • Grace Wagg towards General Studies at Douglas College

The Wesbild LIFT Scholarship has committed significant funds to support CABE graduates get post secondary training and education. The scholarship is open to current CABE graduates. Grads from up to 18 months ago can also apply, along with graduates from other schools in School District 43 but who have spent 75% or more of their time at CABE.
